About In-Home Private Bass Lessons

Learn bass in a way that connects technique with actually making music. I offer personalized, one-on-one bass lessons for kids, teens, and adults throughout the Portland metro area, from complete beginners to players looking to improve their groove, timing, technique, and musical understanding.

Lessons can cover fingerstyle playing, pick technique, rhythm, fretboard knowledge, scales, bass lines, ear training, music theory, improvisation, and learning songs you enjoy. We can also work on how the bass interacts with drums, guitars, vocals, and the rest of a band so you develop a stronger understanding of your role in a song.

Because I work professionally as a musician and music producer, I can also help students interested in recording bass, writing their own parts, playing with other musicians, or understanding how bass works in a finished production.
