About In-Home Private Piano Lessons

I offer personalized in-home piano and keyboard lessons for kids, teens, and adults throughout the Portland metro area. Lessons are designed around each student’s goals, whether that means learning favorite songs, understanding chords, improving technique, writing music, or simply becoming more comfortable at the keyboard.

Students can work on chords, melodies, scales, rhythm, ear training, music theory, sight-reading fundamentals, playing by ear, songwriting, and accompaniment. I especially enjoy showing students how the piano can be used as a practical tool for understanding music rather than treating every lesson as an exercise in memorization.

For students interested in modern music, songwriting, recording, or production, we can also explore MIDI keyboards, synthesizers, DAWs, and how keyboard parts are created and recorded in contemporary music.
