About In-Home Private Drum Lessons

I offer personalized drum lessons for kids, teens, and adults throughout the Portland metro area, with lessons built around each drummer’s experience, musical interests, and goals.

We can work on groove, timing, coordination, technique, fills, rudiments, dynamics, tempo control, playing by ear, learning songs, and developing more creative drum parts. Students can also work on playing comfortably with a metronome, understanding how drum parts fit into an arrangement, and developing the consistency needed to play with other musicians.

My approach comes from years of performing, recording, producing, and teaching music professionally. I focus not only on exercises, but on helping students understand why a beat works, how drums support a song, and how to become a more confident and musical drummer.

Whether you’re learning your first basic groove or already play and want help breaking through a plateau, lessons can be adapted to where you are now.

Now offering in-home drum lessons in:

Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, Hillsboro, Sherwood, Lake Oswego, Newberg, West Linn, Oregon City and Wilsonville
