About In-Home Private Guitar Lessons

Whether you’re picking up a guitar for the first time or looking to take your playing further, lessons are built around the music you actually want to play. I offer personalized, one-on-one guitar lessons for kids, teens, and adults throughout the Portland metro area.

Lessons can cover chords, strumming, rhythm, lead guitar, scales, ear training, songwriting, improvisation, music theory, technique, and learning your favorite songs. Rather than following the exact same curriculum for every student, I shape lessons around your experience level, musical interests, and goals.

As a working musician, producer, and longtime teacher, I also like helping students understand how guitar fits into a full song- not just memorizing isolated exercises. Students interested in songwriting, recording, performing, or music production can incorporate those areas into lessons as well.

Now offering in-home guitar lessons in:

Portland, Beaverton, Tigard, Tualatin, Hillsboro, Sherwood, Lake Oswego, Newberg, West Linn, Oregon City, and Wilsonville.
